A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited email messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters so as to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty if you have a hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet amazingly easy to use, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll notice a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have another mailbox with this feature activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same manner you will be able to remove the feature, if you don’t need it anymore. Our system will warn you in case you are trying to activate a second catch-all address for a specific domain or in case there is active email forwarding, but it’ll never deactivate or change any feature automatically and without your consent.
